Creating a spirit within our community that is always friendly and welcoming.
Henley Parish Council is an elected body which gives views on planning applications and other proposals that affect the parish, they also undertake projects that benefit local residents; work in partnership with others to benefit the parish; advise relevant authorities of problems or action that is needed; and help the other tiers of local government to engage with, and understand their local communities.
Henley Parish Council has seven seats filled by residents who give their time freely and who serve on the Council in terms of four years.
The Parish Council is funded by levying a 'Precept'. The Precept is the parish council's share of the council tax; the precept demand goes to the Mid Suffolk District Council who collect the tax for the Parish Council. The 'Precept' is converted into an amount per Council Tax Band that is added onto the Council Tax bill.
